  • Columbus & Central Ohio: 2–4 inches total (most already on the ground by 7 a.m.)
  • Cincinnati & Southwest Ohio: 2–4 inches
  • Cleveland & Northeast Ohio: 2–5 inches (higher in snowbelt areas with lake-effect)
  • Dayton/Miami Valley: 1–3 inches
  • Southeast Ohio: Up to 4–6 inches possible in higher elevations

Snow tapers off by late morning, but roads will remain slick through the afternoon commute.

Major School Closings & Delays by Region

Cincinnati Area

  • Cincinnati Public Schools — CLOSED
  • Many parochial and private schools in Hamilton County — CLOSED
  • Numerous 2-hour delays in Butler, Warren, and Clermont counties

Columbus & Central Ohio

  • Columbus City Schools — OPEN (buses on snow routes, monitor for possible early dismissal)

Current Snow Emergency Levels in Ohio

Mostly Level 1 statewide as of 8:00 a.m.:

  • Level 1 active in: Franklin, Delaware, Licking, Fairfield, Pickaway, Marion, Morrow, Coshocton, Erie, and many others.
  • No Level 2 or Level 3 emergencies at this time.
